PLE's 2011-12 Annual Fund Drive
We will once again offer the opportunity to participate in the PLE Annual Fund drive this year. You can donate online or download the donation form at the link below and send it to school with your check.
We will also be conducting an Entertainment Book fundraiser and a Trash Bag fundraiser this year to help us reach our goal. More details will come home with your student when these fundraisers are kicked off.
| A Fresh Approach to Fundraising
Did you know that the PTA spends over $55 per student each year? This includes paying for field trips, supplemental classroom materials, and special events. We raise money through a variety of ways to support these activities each year and anything extra we raise is used for classroom improvements such as technology purchases. In the past five years, we have supported the school with a number of significant purchases that have improved the learning environment for our students:
Helped place smart boards in all classrooms - the first elementary school in the district! Supported the implementation of the PALS and Reading Intervention program Invested in the growth of the Book Nook supplemental classroon reading library Purchased technology equipment such as laptops and projectors
Traditionally, we have raised the funds we need to provide PTA support through sales based fundraising. We are proud of our history of providing financial aid and programmatic support to PLE. 2011-12 Fundraising Goals To help us stay focused on the needs of the school, we have established an overall goal for the 2011-12 school year. Our total goal of $30,000 will be targeted to support our normal PTA support activities like field trips, visiting authors, and special activities. With any additional funds we raise we will also purchase items such as Click Its classroom participation systems, additional reading materials for the PLE Book Nook for classroom use, and technology maintenance for all classrooms. | It has never been easier

Hy-Vee Receipts - Save your Hy-Vee receipts and earn donations for PLE. It is as simple as dropping your receipts in the grocery cart in the entrance of PLE. The PTA collects the receipts and turns them in to Hy-Vee, earning a donation to PLE.
